Builders, consumers and wall and floor tilers, need to be aware that rectifying substandard workmanship can exceed 300% of the original tile fixing cost, is time consuming and unprofitable. This is because the costs to remedial works could include the removal of the old tiles, the purchase of new tiles and fixatives, repairs to the building, installation of the new tiles, delays in completion, alternative rental and other associated building works.
